Bellperson
About The Position
Alisal Ranch is seeking an experienced, service-oriented Bellperson for a full-time, on-site role at its working Ranch and Resort in Solvang, California. The Bellperson welcomes arriving guests and escorts them to their accommodations, explaining Ranch offerings, room features, amenities, and other relevant information. The role provides attentive luggage transfer, organization, and storage for Ranch guests and group customers; responds to requests such as ice, room moves, itinerary information, and transportation; and assists at the lobby and front door. The Bellperson also ensures departing guests receive a fond farewell and service consistent with their arrival experience. The position requires open availability for varying schedules, including weekends and holidays. Employees must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and remain mobile throughout their shift. The role includes lifting, pushing, and pulling at least 50 pounds. A current, valid California driver’s license and minimum age of 21 are required to operate company vehicles, subject to fleet insurance authorization. Employment is contingent on proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States, as well as a criminal background check and DMV record review.
Requirements
- Prior hospitality experience is a plus.
- A desire to create outstanding, authentic, and memorable interactions with internal and external guests.

- Ability to multitask with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and organization.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on site and stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
- Must present proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States after offer and before employment.
- Must have a current and valid California driver’s license and be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles, and be authorized under fleet insurance.
