The Bellperson is responsible for providing warm, professional, and efficient service to guests during arrivals, departures, and throughout their stay. Reporting to and working under the supervision of the Bell Desk Captain, this role may be assigned shifts as a Doorperson, Valet, or Bellperson based on operational needs. The Bellperson supports luggage handling, valet services, ski and bike valet operations, guest deliveries, resort orientation, front drive presence, and transportation coordination. This position plays an important role in creating a seamless luxury guest experience by anticipating guest needs, maintaining organized service areas, and upholding Cabot’s standards of hospitality, safety, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Valid BC Drivers License – or willing to acquire prior to commencement of employment
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull luggage, equipment, and supplies safely throughout the shift

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in front office, guest services, bell services, valet, or concierge roles within a hotel or resort environment is preferred
  • Strong guest service skills with the ability to respond professionally to guest requests, concerns, and high-touch service interactions

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, personalized guest service during arrivals, departures, and throughout the guest stay under the direction of the Bell Desk Captain
  • Assist guests with luggage handling, valet parking, ski and bike storage, transportation arrangements, and resort orientation
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and special service needs
  • Perform assigned shifts as Doorperson, Valet, or Bellperson while maintaining consistent luxury service standards across all guest touchpoints
  • Support VIP arrivals, group arrivals, and personalized guest experiences to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Uphold and consistently execute Cabot’s luxury hospitality standards
  • Carry out daily Bell Desk duties, including bell services, door coverage, luggage handling, valet parking, ski valet, and bike valet services
  • Coordinate vehicle flow, luggage storage, equipment handling, and guest transportation logistics efficiently and safely
  • Maintain clean, organized, and operationally ready valet, storage, and guest service areas
  • Support efficient guest flow at arrival and departure points by greeting guests, opening doors, managing the front drive presence, following established procedures, and communicating service needs promptly
  • Work closely with the Bell Desk Captain, Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Transportation teams to ensure smooth guest experiences
  • Follow direction from the Bell Desk Captain and support fellow Bell Desk and valet team members to deliver consistent service
  • Participate in training related to guest service standards, safety procedures, driving standards, and operational expectations
  • Foster a professional, guest-focused, and team-oriented work environment
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, driving standards, and luxury service expectations at all times
  • Complete required logs, vehicle tracking, luggage documentation, guest request records, and operational checklists accurately and on time
  • Communicate shift updates, guest requests, luggage storage details, and transportation needs clearly to the Bell Desk Captain and relevant departments
  • Assist with organizing luggage equipment, valet supplies, ski and bike storage systems, and guest service tools
