About The Position

The Bellman is responsible for training and supervising Guest Service Aides, preparing weekly schedules, and maintaining documentation. This role also involves providing baggage delivery, tagging and storing luggage, and ensuring the cleanliness and inviting appearance of the front lobby and entrances. The Bellman may also provide directions to hotel facilities, rooms, and local attractions.

Requirements

  • Requires a valid state driver's license (or chauffeur's license if required) and safely drive guest vehicles and/or shuttle van.
  • Customer Service Focused, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations
  • Flexible to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Enjoys working as and being part of a team that provides great experiences for our Guests!
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset

Responsibilities

  • Train and supervise all new Guest Service Aides.
  • Prepare weekly schedule for Guest Service Aides and maintain documentation (time cards, reviews, etc.).
  • Provide baggage delivery to guest rooms.
  • Accurately tag and store luggage for guest as needed and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing luggage.
  • Open entrance door for and warmly greet/welcome all guests.
  • Ensure the front lobby; front interior and exterior entrances are clean and inviting.
  • May provide directions to hotel facilities and rooms, as well as local area attractions.
