About The Position

The Bellhop welcomes guests to the casino and assists with luggage between guests’ vehicles and hotel rooms. The role also provides information about hotel facilities and operating hours, answers guest questions, and helps guests navigate the hotel. Bellhops maintain organized, clean work areas and support guest satisfaction while working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills; polite manner and neat appearance at all times.
Ability to read and write accurately for luggage claim tickets.
Ability to work efficiently with others as part of a team.
Availability to work all shifts.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a West Virginia Racing License.
Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
Able to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry, and lift up to 25 pounds.
Able to lift and transport luggage using safe baggage-handling procedures and a bell cart when necessary, and use proper cart-handling techniques.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet all hotel and casino guests.
Assist guests with luggage between their vehicles and hotel rooms.
When escorting guests to their rooms, explain the hotel’s facilities and hours of operation.
Issue luggage claim tags and store luggage in the bell closet when necessary.
Respond to guest inquiries and direct guests around the hotel.
Explain the proper use of the key system and ensure guests are satisfied with their rooms.
Provide accurate directions, information, and recommendations.
Maintain the organization and cleanliness of all work areas.
Comply with reasonable requests from management.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
