About The Position
This position rings bells for The Salvation Army Christmas Program at assigned locations. The Bell Ringer ensures the kettle is never left unattended and greets the public in a courteous and friendly manner. Duties must be performed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s ministry and Christian principles, with professionalism and an understanding of the organization’s mission, philosophy, culture, and protocol. The work is performed standing, potentially outdoors in varying weather conditions, with breaks and meal periods as required by state law. Duties may include brief or occasional sitting or walking and a limited amount of lifting or carrying light objects under 25 pounds.
Requirements
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to stand in one location for extended periods outdoors in varying weather conditions, with breaks and meal periods as required by state law.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with The Salvation Army’s mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, protocol, and Christian principles.
- Ability to conduct communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
- Ability to perform duties that involve standing, with brief or occasional periods of sitting or walking.
- Ability to lift and carry light objects weighing less than 25 pounds.
