About The Position

The Bell Ringer supports The Salvation Army Christmas Program by ringing bells at assigned locations and ensuring the kettle is never left unattended. The role also involves greeting the public courteously and performing duties in accordance with The Salvation Army’s ministry and Christian principles.

Work is performed standing, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions, with breaks and lunch periods as required by state law. Duties may include brief or occasional periods of sitting or walking and a limited amount of lifting and carrying light objects weighing less than 25 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to stand in one location for extended periods outdoors and in varying weather conditions, with breaks and lunch periods as required by state law.
• Ability to perform duties with an understanding of The Salvation Army’s mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol.
• Ability to perform limited lifting and carrying of light objects weighing less than 25 pounds.
