About The Position

The Bell Ringer supports The Salvation Army Christmas Program by ringing bells at an assigned location, keeping the kettle attended, and greeting the public in a courteous and friendly manner. The position carries out all duties in accordance with The Salvation Army’s ministry and Christian principles, and requires professional communication and conduct.

Requirements

• Meet attendance requirements.
• Stand in one location for extended periods in outside weather conditions, with breaks and lunch periods as required by state law.
• Perform duties while standing, with brief or occasional periods of sitting or walking.
• Perform a limited amount of physical effort involving lifting and carrying light objects weighing less than 25 lbs., for 5–10% of working time.
• No formal education or experience is required.
• No licenses or certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Ring bells for The Salvation Army Christmas Program at assigned locations.
• Ensure the kettle is never left unattended.
• Greet the public in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Conduct duties in accordance with The Salvation Army’s ministry and Christian principles.
• Communicate and perform job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
