About The Position
The Bell Ringer supports The Salvation Army Christmas Program by ringing bells at assigned locations, keeping the kettle attended, and greeting the public courteously and in a friendly manner. Duties must be performed in accordance with The Salvation Army's ministry and Christian principles, with professionalism and an understanding of the organization's mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol. The position is seasonal and full-time, based in the Tampa, Florida area. The schedule is daytime, with availability Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Work takes place outdoors and involves standing for extended periods, with occasional brief periods of sitting or walking. Employees may encounter changing weather, noise, dust, and dirt, and should dress appropriately.
Requirements
- Meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to stand in one location for extended periods in outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to perform duties with an understanding of The Salvation Army's mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol.
- No formal education or experience requirements.
- No licenses or certifications required.
- Ability to lift and carry light objects weighing less than 25 pounds.
