About The Position
The Bell Ringer supports The Salvation Army Christmas Program by ringing bells at an assigned location and ensuring the kettle is never left unattended. The role includes greeting the public courteously and conducting duties in accordance with The Salvation Army’s mission, ministry, and Christian principles. The work is seasonal and full-time. Duties are performed primarily standing outdoors, with brief or occasional periods of sitting or walking. The position requires meeting attendance requirements and may involve carrying or lifting light objects weighing less than 25 pounds for 5–10% of working time.
Requirements
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to stand in one location for extended periods in outside weather conditions, with breaks and lunch periods as required by state law.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with The Salvation Army’s mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, protocol, and Christian principles.
- Ability to perform duties primarily standing, with brief or occasional periods of sitting or walking.
- Ability to lift and carry light objects weighing less than 25 pounds.
- No formal education or experience requirements.
- No licenses or certifications required.
