About The Position

We are hiring a Bell Captain! This role is responsible for maintaining lobby, front door, bell stand, and luggage room cleanliness and order. The Bell Captain markets the entire hotel when rooming a guest and maintains complete knowledge of hotel amenities and layout, local attractions, and airport transportation. This position requires reading the log book daily, keeping up-to-date on in-house groups and functions, and following all rooming procedures. Responsibilities include issuing proper luggage tags, storing bags properly, and cross-referencing when issuing. The Bell Captain also maintains vehicle maintenance records properly, ensures deliveries/luggage are brought to correct rooms, and demonstrates a readiness to help. This role facilitates prompt handling of guest luggage and needs during peak periods and completes their share of last man duties, showing rooms, delivering messages, etc. Assistance is provided in the maintenance upkeep of the bell closet and carts, and the associate works systematically so as not to lose luggage. Bell carts are operated with care to avoid property damage or injury. Associates are required to follow the rules as found in the Concord Hospitality Handbooks. The role involves delivering guest valet laundry in a prompt manner and accurately giving directions and information regarding the immediate and metro areas. Tips are reported daily. The ideal candidate is a positive thinker and company driven, demonstrates thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures, and ensures that all checklists and responsibilities are completed by the end of shift. Attendance at Service Excellence Class and obtaining an 80% or higher in observations is required.
