About The Position

The Bell Attendant assists guests with luggage during arrival and departure, makes necessary deliveries to and picks up from guest rooms, and transports guest and hotel packages and parcels. This role is crucial in providing a high level of hospitality and professionalism to guests, ensuring their needs are met with efficiency and courtesy. The Bell Attendant is often the first and last point of contact for guests, contributing significantly to their overall experience.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of hospitality or related work experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and evenings.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Greets guests and escorts them to their rooms.
  • Delivers luggage to room upon check-in and picks up luggage from room upon departure, moving the luggage to storage or the Front Drive.
  • Maintains proper records of deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
  • Resolves customer complaints and assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, and directions.
  • Greets all guests passing through the lobby and offers them assistance.
  • Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Performs shoeshine service; picking up shoes from guest room, cleaning and polishing them and returning them to the guest.
  • Performs errands for guests and the hotel that may require local travel off of the hotel property.
  • Provides a high level of cleanliness in the lobby and luggage storage room.
  • Assists guests at the Concierge Desk.
  • Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Door Staff and Valet Staff.
  • Assists in coverage of Residential Front Office responsibilities and desk coverage.
