A Float Behaviour Therapist (BI) is primarily responsible for implementing Applied Behavior Analysis interventions for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder or other learning and development delays and/or maladaptive behaviour. The role of the Float BT is to execute intervention plans developed and supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA) to clients in care of Monarch House. The Float BT may work within an interdisciplinary team to support skill acquisition and/or decrease maladaptive behaviors while providing an engaging and positive client experience in a fast paced and frequently changing environment. The Float BT is primarily responsible for always ensuring adequate client coverage for reasons such as but not limited to absent instructor therapists, conflicts due to family or team meetings, training workshops, lunch coverage and general staff shortages.
