Hope Haven of East Texas is a Christian, faith-based non-profit providing a direct solution to the foster care crisis in East Texas. We demonstrate Christ’s love to children and teens in the foster care system by providing home, healing, and hope through a combination of residential and family care, life skills training, and professional mental and behavioral support because we believe that every child deserves to be safe and equipped for the future. The Behavioral Support Manager is responsible for the oversight, leadership, and coordination of behavioral support services in a residential treatment setting, as well as non-residential behavioral support services provided through Family Solutions. This role ensures the delivery of trauma-informed, client-centered behavioral interventions while supporting staff in the implementation of coping skill development, emotional regulation strategies, behavioral intervention plans, and individualized support services. The Behavioral Support Manager provides direct supervision, mentorship, and guidance to Behavioral Support Coordinators while collaborating closely with therapists, nursing staff, case managers, residential staff, and external providers to promote safety, healing, stability, and long-term success for youth and families served. This position also ensures compliance with agency policies, DFPS standards, Medicaid requirements, and best practices in behavioral health services. The Behavioral Support Manager is expected to maintain direct service responsibilities and spend approximately 25-40% of their time carrying a caseload (10-15 clients) to provide skills training, case management services, intake assessments, behavioral support interventions, and supportive services for residential and non-residential clients. This position is also responsible for conducting regular 1:1 supervision and support meetings with staff, facilitating team-building activities, promoting healthy workplace culture, and supporting employee engagement and professional growth. The Behavioral Support Manager will help lead and present personal wellness initiatives, trainings, and activities that support staff mental health, resilience, self-care, and overall wellness.
