The Behavioral Specialist will develop, monitor, and update behavior modification programs using principles of ABA and behavior management within OPWDD and NYSED policy. This role involves providing ongoing training and mentorship to Direct Support Professionals, participating in program planning and case reviews, and completing progress reports. The specialist will also provide therapeutic consultation to adolescents, collaborate with the educational psychology team, and keep psychiatric providers updated on behavioral progress. Additionally, the role includes supporting Direct Support Professionals in emergency situations, attending professional development trainings, and maintaining case notes. Collaboration with agency-wide behavioral health services and performing other assigned duties are also part of the responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be flexible with working hours and demonstrate reliability.
