The Psychology Department at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center provides comprehensive behavior analysis and support, along with psychological services, to residents. These services encompass behavioral assessment and treatment, staff training in behavior support, participation in interdisciplinary teams, consultation with staff, and psychological testing and evaluation. The department also offers clinical and management consulting to external entities serving individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Under clinical supervision, the behavioral programming specialist will assist in providing assessment and treatment services to approximately 25 residents with significant intellectual and related developmental disabilities. This includes aiding in behavior assessments, participating in interdisciplinary team processes, assisting licensed psychologists or behavior analysts in planning and evaluating treatment programs, tracking and ensuring the quality of treatment programs, and helping to provide staff training.
