About The Position

Carrollton Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, provides evidence-based, transformational care for mental health and addiction concerns. The Behavioral Health Van Driver safely and promptly transports patients from various locations and facilities to the hospital campus or other designated locations. The role also includes maintaining vehicle and mileage records, keeping the vehicle clean and presentable, and ensuring patients remain supervised, safe, and treated with respect and dignity. The position is PRN on the day shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least two years of paid or volunteer professional driving experience.
• At least one year of experience in a customer service position.
• Valid driver's license, favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and proof of insurance.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and before any patient contact.
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
• At least one year of professional experience driving 8–12 passenger vans.

Responsibilities

• Safely and promptly transport patients between various locations or facilities and the hospital campus or other designated locations.
• Maintain a daily log of mileage and gasoline usage and submit gas receipts to the appropriate person or people.
• Clean the vehicle interior regularly and keep the vehicle presentable for patient transportation.
• Maintain mileage records to support scheduling routine vehicle maintenance.
• Supervise patients during transportation, maintain safety at all times, and treat patients with respect and dignity.
