About The Position

Provides direct clinical services to patients within Munson Medical Center Behavioral Health services. The Munson Adult Crisis Residential Program is a short-term, 24/7 residential treatment program for adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis, offering a safe, home-like alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Residents receive individualized, trauma-informed care—including clinical support, therapy groups, medication management, crisis planning, and skill-building—to stabilize symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and prepare for a successful transition back to the community. Staff are part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes recovery, resilience, and improved access to behavioral health services across Northern Michigan.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from a social work, psychology, and/or counseling accredited program.
  • Michigan license to provide behavioral health counseling that may be a LMSW or LPC.
  • In Outpatient Behavioral Health department only: Certified Advanced Addiction credential through Michigan Board of Addiction Professionals or the ability to obtain a 3-year Development plan within 30 days of hire to secure certification.
