The Munson Adult Crisis Residential Program is a short-term, 24/7 residential treatment program for adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis, offering a safe, home-like alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Residents receive individualized, trauma-informed care—including clinical support, therapy groups, medication management, crisis planning, and skill-building—to stabilize symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and prepare for a successful transition back to the community. Staff are part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes recovery, resilience, and improved access to behavioral health services across Northern Michigan. The Munson Behavioral Health Counselor 1 is a member of the behavioral health team and works with patients who experience substance use and / or mental health disorders. The Behavioral Health Counselor 1 is responsible for supporting patients, coordinating patient care or wider behavioral health initiatives, and representing behavioral health throughout the hospital and wider community.
