Behavioral Health Therapist - Pediatric Crisis Residential Program
About The Position
The Munson Pediatric Crisis Residential Program is a six-bed, short-term residential treatment program for youth ages 8–17 experiencing a behavioral health crisis. It provides 24/7, trauma-informed care in a safe, home-like environment as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. During their typical 7–14 day stay, residents receive individualized treatment—including therapy, medication management, skill-building, and family involvement—to stabilize their mental health and prepare for a successful return home, school, and community. Staff are part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that helps youth and families navigate crises and build a foundation for long-term recovery. This role provides direct clinical services to patients within Munson Medical Center Behavioral Health services.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from a social work, psychology, and/or counseling accredited program.
- Michigan license to provide behavioral health counseling that may be a LMSW or LPC.
- In Outpatient Behavioral Health department only: Certified Advanced Addiction credential through Michigan Board of Addiction Professionals or the ability to obtain a 3-year Development plan within 30 days of hire to secure certification.
