About The Position

The Recovery Village Columbus Drug and Alcohol Rehab (RVC) is seeking dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians for its Groveport, OH facility. RVC is committed to helping individuals overcome substance use disorder through a comprehensive continuum of care, including detox, inpatient, and outpatient services. The facility offers a healing environment with first-rate amenities and a compassionate team of professionals. This role is crucial in supporting patients through their recovery journey and ensuring a safe, structured treatment experience.

Requirements

Associate degree in a health-related field OR minimum two (2) years’ experience in BHT or similar patient care role.
Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards.
CPR and Standard First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

Minimum one (1) year experience in BHT or similar patient care role (if Associate degree is held).
Experience working with Children and Adolescent Facilities (for Adult Facilities).

Responsibilities

Observe and monitor patients in treatment.
Report patient observations and progress as indicated.
Contribute to the overall welfare of the organization.
Assist patients in a variety of patient activities.
Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Communicate and enforce facility program rules in a firm, fair, and professional manner.
Communicate patient behavior with immediate supervisor and clinical team.
Address problem behaviors using verbal de-escalation techniques.
Adhere to time schedules.
Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staff.
Ensure documentation is timely, consistent, clear, accurate, and legible.
Keep clinical records secure at all times.
