About The Position

The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper (RVCH) is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join their team. This is a full-time day position. RVCH follows a renowned approach to addiction recovery, combining evidence-based treatment with holistic programming. The facility is a 90-bed, 55,000-square-foot center offering a full continuum of care, from detox to aftercare services. Clients also participate in the Weekly Recovery Compass program to identify and address potential setbacks. RVCH is conveniently located in Cherry Hill, NJ, near the Delaware River and a 30-minute drive from Philadelphia International Airport.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years patient care experience OR; 1 year patient care experience + Associate's degree required
• Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards required

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with adult patients (18+) preferred.
• Prior experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services in roles with emphasis involving direct customer or client service experience, strongly preferred.
• CPR and Standard First Aid certification or in process of obtaining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observation and monitoring of patients in treatment and reporting duties as indicated.
• Contributes to the welfare of the organization and assists patients in a variety of patient activities.
• Assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Communicates and enforces facility program rules and ensures compliance in a firm but fair and professional manner.
• Communicates patient behavior with immediate supervisor and clinical team as appropriate.
• Addresses problem behaviors as needed through verbal de-escalation techniques.
• Adheres to time schedules.
• Maintains healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staff.
• Ensures that documentation is timely, consistent, clear, accurate and legible.
• Keeps clinical records secure at all times.
