About The Position

The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct service and support as part of a multidisciplinary team in a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week, year-round crisis stabilization program assessing mental health and substance use disorders. The role supports clients in the program, helps maintain a safe and comfortable environment, and contributes to client participation and informed decision-making. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of related experience; experience in an acute psychiatric setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and engage incoming clients.
Assist clients around the ICSC, including directing them to locker rooms and assisting with laundry.
Help clients participate in recreational activities.
Assist with cleanup of clients’ treatment rooms and recreational areas to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
Ensure the health and safety of staff and clients in emergency situations.
Assess situations for importance, urgency, and risk, and make timely, clear decisions in the organization’s best interests.
Facilitate sharing relevant data with individuals to support partnered decision-making and keep clients informed of progress.
Complete QI training during onboarding and participate in refresher training as needed.
Cultivate an inclusive culture that respects employees’ individual strengths, views, and experiences.
Follow safety protocols and procedures and established safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
