Requirements

• High School Diploma Preferred
• Valid Driver's License

• Wear identification while on duty.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
• Has no mental, nervous, organic, or functional disease or psychiatric disorder likely to interfere with his/her ability to drive safely (I.E. holding a medical marijuana card.)

Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from appointments, meetings, and activities.
• Ensure all clients are accounted for at all times.
• Be respectful and caring to clients while maintaining proper boundaries.
• Inspect assigned vehicle and document mileage.
• Report missing equipment, vehicle damage, or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
• Leave the vehicle locked and secured at the facility at the end of each shift.
• Obey all traffic laws and report any violations.
• Notify appropriate individuals of any accidents and complete necessary reports.
• Ensure clients and passengers wear seatbelts.
• Administer CPR if immediate emergency resuscitation is required.
• Supervise clients during transport.
• Observe client behaviors.
• Adhere to safety standards.
• Enter client information into a database (EMR).
• Explain and complete admissions paperwork.
• Complete the admissions process with incoming clients, including search, Urine Drug Screen, and Breathalyzer.
• Promote a healthy recovery environment.
• Perform general housekeeping functions.
• Establish appropriate therapeutic boundaries and develop therapeutic relations with clients.
• Assist in monitoring therapeutic activities with patients.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Work directly with clients and provide proper recovery support.
• Observe client behaviors, record their conditions, and lead them to therapeutic and recreational activities.
• Provide overall supervision of the clients in the facility.
• Demonstrate exceptional care when transporting clientele.
