Behavioral Health Technicians
About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians to provide operational and administrative support to medical and clinical teams and help maintain a safe, welcoming recovery environment. The role involves engaging with clients, monitoring their wellbeing, enforcing facility policies, and documenting and escalating important communications or incidents. The position is based at Avenues Recovery Center at Louisiana, a residential facility providing inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation and withdrawal management. The facility combines a treatment center with converted townhomes, offering clients round-the-clock care in a homelike setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
- Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
- Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
- Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, including support with admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones.
- Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
- Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
- Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
- Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
