About The Position

We are looking for a compassionate, diligent behavioral health technician supervisor to join our residential substance use treatment facility. You will be working in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team to implement treatment plans for patients with substance use disorder, and or co-occurring disorders, providing them with the care, support, and supervision they require. To be successful as a behavioral health technician supervisor, you should be an excellent listener with a solid understanding of what it takes to treat or manage substance use disorders and or co-occurring disorders. Must be able to provide day to day leadership and management of staff, fill shift needs, manage schedules and act as a member of the treatment team. Top candidates will also be sensitive, respectful, and personable when working with our patients.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associates/ Bachelors Preferred, PRSS Certification will be considered
  • Experience working with individuals with SUD/Co-occurring is a plus
  • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to complete tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to treat patients with dignity and empathy.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Good physical fitness.
  • Acute observation skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Valid Driver’s Licenses

Responsibilities

  • Directly Supervise all Behavioral Health Technicians
  • Ensure all shifts are appropriately staffed with qualified staff
  • Review staff documentation and reporting to ensure appropriate policies and procedures are being followed
  • Participate in Treatment Teams of patients as needed
  • Carrying out individual treatment plans prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Monitoring patients and recording your observations.
  • Reporting back on each patient's progress and concerns.
  • Ensuring patients have a safe and supportive environment.
  • Diffusing situations in which patients wish to harm themselves or others.
  • Providing emotional support to patients.
  • Alerting medical professionals to intervene in emergencies.
  • Carrying out assessments and other administrative tasks.
  • Maintaining strict patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA and 42 CFR Part 2
  • Transport to medical appointments and community support needs
  • Provide support in completing personal living skills and independent community functions
  • Basic facility housekeeping which may include laundry, dusting, vacuuming maintaining a clean and sanitary condition of the facility
  • Performs job assignments, with attention to and in compliance with the Local, Federal, State, Program and Agency Mandated regulations, missions, values and ethics with a positive attitude
  • Adheres to the agency’s policies and procedures
