About The Position

Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care. Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients. Educates patients on interpersonal and self-care skills. Assists patients with activities of daily living. Conducts age-appropriate psycho-educational groups. Facilitates the implementation of nursing care plans promoting emotional well-being as delegated. Recognizes critical and obvious changes in patient conditions and reacts promptly. Communicates patient care observations and safety concerns to members of the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Previous experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Basic computer proficiency.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) or similar.
