About The Position

The Behavioral Health Tech facilitates the maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and assists patients with daily living activities. The role establishes therapeutic relationships with assigned patients and supports their care through routine patient-care tasks and participation in unit activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, weigh patients, and collect routine specimens.
• Attend and participate in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings.
• Facilitate the maintenance of the therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit.
• Assist patients with daily living activities.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.
• Perform related duties as required.
