About The Position
The Behavioral Health Tech facilitates the maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and assists patients with daily living activities. The role establishes therapeutic relationships with assigned patients and provides essential support and comfort to promote a positive patient-care experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Take vital signs, weigh patients, and collect routine specimens.
- Attend and participate in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings.
- Facilitate the maintenance of the therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit.
- Assist patients with daily living activities.
- Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.
- Perform related duties as required.
