About The Position
The Behavioral Health Tech facilitates a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and assists patients with daily living activities. The role establishes therapeutic relationships with assigned patients and supports patient care through routine measurements and specimen collection. The position also participates in group therapy, staff education, and meetings, and performs related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Take vital signs, weigh patients, and collect routine specimens.
- Attend and participate in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings.
- Facilitate the maintenance of the therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit.
- Assist patients with daily living activities.
- Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.
- Perform related duties as required.
