About The Position

The Behavioral Health Supervisor leads and oversees the behavioral health program, ensuring high-quality patient care and staff performance. The role coordinates daily operations, manages staff, supports the healthcare team and patients, and contributes to direct patient care when needed. The supervisor also helps maintain regulatory compliance and foster a positive, effective care environment.

The position is with Henry Ford Health’s Eastwood Recovery behavioral health services. The schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the compensation range is $29.20–$43.80 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be a fully licensed social worker (LMSW) or licensed professional counselor (LPC).
• Must be a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or be on a development plan.
• Must have a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), or have or be willing to get on a development plan.

Responsibilities

• Determine, coordinate, and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
• Train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff against performance expectations, applying progressive discipline when appropriate.
• Participate in hiring and termination procedures.
• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare team members to help achieve desired outcomes.
• Participate in direct care based on patient census, completing patient evaluations and treatments as needed.
• Oversee, coordinate, and control the admission, customer service representative, and case management departments in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
