The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioral Health Nurse Supervisor (RN) to provide clinical and administrative leadership at Heron House, an innovative 18-bed Enhanced Medical Group Living Environment (EMGLE) program located in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. This position is ideal for a nurse leader who believes great outcomes start with strong teams. The successful candidate will combine clinical expertise, coaching, mentorship, and operational leadership to support a high-performing nursing team while ensuring exceptional care for residents with complex behavioral health and medical needs. This is a fully on-site leadership position that requires visibility, accessibility, and hands-on support to staff. The Nurse Supervisor will model clinical excellence, help develop nursing talent, foster accountability, and contribute to a positive and collaborative workplace culture. The Behavioral Health Nurse Supervisor serves as the primary nursing leader within the program and is responsible for overseeing nursing operations, clinical practice, staff development, and regulatory compliance and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered, trauma-informed care. Reporting directly to the Program Director and receiving clinical support and consultation from the Division Director of Nursing, this position provides direct supervision, coaching, and oversight to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and designated support staff. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for fostering a professional environment where staff are supported and developed. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and compassionate leader who can effectively balance support, mentorship, consistency, and accountability while helping team members achieve their full professional potential.
