About The Position

As a Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) at Open Door Community Health Centers, you will play a key role on an interdisciplinary care team, collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, case managers, and dental/medical assistants. Your primary focus will be to identify, triage, plan, manage, and provide primary behavioral health services for patients with overlapping physical and behavioral health needs. You will offer assessment, therapeutic treatment, referral, support, education, and skill-training through various strategies aimed at addressing specific behavioral changes to improve physical, social, and mental health. Services will be provided in individual settings, either in-person or via telehealth. This is a dynamic position for someone who values collaboration, continuity of care, and community impact.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree (LCSW/LMFT/Ph.D/Psy.D)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Psychologist in California (active and in good standing)
  • Experience in a similar position in a community health center or outpatient mental health clinic
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, CBT, play therapy, and family-centered approaches
  • Collaborative, flexible, and dedicated to serving diverse communities.
