About The Position

Open Door Community Health Centers is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) to join their integrated care team at Plaza Community Health Center in Arcata, California. The BHC will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, case managers, and dental/medical assistants to provide primary behavioral health services for patients with overlapping physical and behavioral health needs. Responsibilities include assessment, therapeutic treatment, referral, support, education, and skill-training to address behavioral changes that improve physical, social, and mental health. Services can be provided in individual settings, in-person or via tele-health. This role is ideal for someone who values collaboration, continuity of care, and community impact.

Requirements

Master’s or Doctoral degree (LCSW/LMFT/Ph.D/Psy.D)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Psychologist in California (active and in good standing)
Experience in a similar position in a community health center or outpatient mental health clinic
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, CBT, play therapy, and family-centered approaches
Collaborative, flexible, and dedicated to serving diverse communities.
