About The Position

Autism Learning Partners is hiring a part-time Behavior Technician to support children and teens with autism. The role involves providing services primarily in clients’ homes, with some sessions in local centers depending on client needs. Schedules are set within weekday availability from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., based on client needs. Employees receive paid training and support toward earning Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Compensation is $20.50–$25.50 per hour, with an additional $0.50 per hour after RBT certification is completed. The posting also offers an additional $2 per hour for evenings and weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of paid or volunteer experience working with children; babysitting, tutoring, camp counseling, and church or youth-group experience count.
Reliable car, driver’s license, and insurance.
Willingness to pass background and health checks.
Successful completion of mandatory training, including New Hire Orientation, 40 hours of RBT training, Skills Practice, CPR, CPI, and overlaps.
Pass an exam to become a Registered Behavior Technician.
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Patience, dependability, and ability to keep up with energetic children.

Responsibilities

Encourage children, serve as a positive role model, and celebrate their progress.
Stay active and engage with children throughout sessions.
Track session activities and children’s progress.
Support families as part of a team working toward children’s progress.
