About The Position

Surpass Behavioral Health is hiring a Behavior Technician to work with children and teens with autism as part of its therapy teams. The technician provides personalized, one-on-one therapy in clinical, school, or home settings under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Paid training is provided to help the employee earn Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 45 days. Full-time employment is considered to be at least 30 working hours per week, though hours may occasionally fall below 30 irregularly.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
Be able to earn RBT certification within 45 days; training is provided.
Have a love for working with children, strong communication skills, and a commitment to integrity.

Nice To Haves

A degree in Behavioral Health, Early Childhood Education, or a similar field.
Experience working with children with autism.

Responsibilities

Implement individualized treatment plans using applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
Assist with challenging behaviors and provide a safe, supportive environment.
Work with the BCBA to keep caregivers updated on the child's progress.
Complete session notes and timesheets.
Collect and record data on socially significant behaviors.
Use fun and engaging instructional materials to motivate learners.
