Behavior Technician BT Work With Kids
About The Position
We are looking for individuals who are patient, positive, and dedicated to celebrating small victories with children. This role is described as a calling and an opportunity to change lives. The position involves working 1:1 with children aged 18 months to 6 years diagnosed with autism in a center-based environment, delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Responsibilities include building skills through play, tracking progress, documenting sessions, creating a safe environment, and preparing for RBT certification.
Requirements
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday, between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Reliability — showing up for scheduled hours and staying on top of administrative tasks
- Resilience and compassion, especially on the tough days
- Ability to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment
- Pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds
- Sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids when needed
Nice To Haves
- Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services
- Experience with children is a plus
Responsibilities
- Delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), guided by individualized treatment plans
- Building skills through play, connection, and the kind of presence that helps a child feel safe enough to try
- Tracking progress and documenting sessions using ABA technology
- Creating a safe, positive environment for every child you work with
- Preparing for your RBT certification exam within your first 45 days
