Behavior Technician BT Work With Kids
About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) to work with children aged 18 months to 6 years who have a diagnosis of autism. This role is based in a center-based environment and involves delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The ideal candidate is patient, positive, and celebrates small victories, understanding the profound impact this work can have on a child's life. We provide comprehensive training, clinical mentorship, and a supportive culture focused on collaboration and shared success. No prior experience is required, as we will teach you the necessary skills and support your journey to becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
Requirements
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliability — showing up for scheduled hours and staying on top of administrative tasks.
- Resilience and compassion, especially on the tough days.
- Ability to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment.
- Physical readiness for the role: pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds; sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids when needed.
Nice To Haves
- Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services.
- Experience with children is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), guided by individualized treatment plans.
- Build skills through play, connection, and creating a safe environment for children to try new things.
- Track progress and document sessions using ABA technology.
- Create a safe, positive environment for every child.
- Prepare for RBT certification exam within the first 45 days of employment.
