About The Position

At Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center (ABTC), we are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. This role offers the opportunity to work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them develop essential life skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABTC provides comprehensive paid training, clinical support, and mentorship, making it an ideal position for those starting their career or seeking hands-on experience in psychology, child development, education, social work, behavioral health, special education, speech or occupational therapy, or nursing and healthcare. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that utilizes engaging, individualized sessions to teach communication, social interaction, daily living, play, and coping skills, while also reducing challenging behaviors through positive reinforcement, ultimately aiming to foster independence and success in children's everyday lives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Available a minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration
  • Willing to travel up to 25 miles from your home for client sessions
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working with children is a plus
  • Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
  • Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills
  • Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies
  • Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress
  • Communicate professionally with families and caregivers
  • Attend ongoing training and team meetings
