About The Position

Devereux is seeking a Master's Level Behavior Specialist to provide clinical support to group homes in Ocean and Monmouth county. This role is part of the ASCEND program, which offers career acceleration, tuition coverage, and student loan repayment. The position involves assisting a BCBA with assessments and treatment of challenging behaviors, consultation on Individual Support Plans (ISP), training and monitoring direct support professionals, data collection, note input, and conducting observations. The role offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment with a focus on Servant Leadership principles and making a positive impact on individuals' lives.

Requirements

  • Master's in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
  • At least 2 years providing behavior support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Intellectually /Developmentally Disabled clients
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have a valid non-provisional driver's license.
  • Solid interpersonal skills required to work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in presentations
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist BCBA with the assessment and treatment of challenging behaviors.
  • Consultation on ISP Plan Goals/Objectives, as well as environmental supports.
  • Training, oversight, and monitoring of direct support professionals with respect to behavioral support and therapeutic interactions.
  • Data collection and inputting data into excel database.
  • Input notes regarding behavioral services.
  • Provide specific number of hours of services per consumer in required settings per week.
  • Conduct observations and integrity assessments of BCBA's current BSP per Individual.
