The role uses play, games, and evidence-based strategies to help children develop communication, social, and life skills. Sessions may take place in a child’s home, a CSD center, or the community. Specialists follow personalized plans designed by clinical leaders and work to recognize children’s progress and milestones. This is a flexible, on-the-go role with paid training, coaching, and a mapped career pathway. Prior experience is not required. The position offers starting pay of $22–$27 per hour, based on experience. The posting describes a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends and a school-year calendar aligned with district holidays, while also listing flexible availability—especially Monday through Friday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays—as a requirement. CSD partners with schools to support children with autism and other developmental needs. The organization emphasizes its TRUE values: Transparency, Respect, Understanding, and Excellence.
