Behavior Interventionist
About The Position
Easterseals Southern California is hiring Behavior Interventionists to provide in-home, ABA-based therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum and their families. The role is suited to people interested in psychology, behavioral health, autism services, or working with children. Ongoing training and clearly defined career paths are provided. Candidates must be available to work at least 15 hours per week during the stated hours: Monday through Friday, 3 PM–8 PM, and Saturday, 9 AM–1 PM. Initial training lasts two weeks, Monday through Friday, for approximately 35 hours. The position pays $24–$27.50 per hour and involves travel to families’ homes using the employee’s own reliable transportation.
Requirements
- A passion for working with children.
- Previous experience working with children or people with special needs, and an interest in behavioral health.
- Availability to work at least 15 hours per week within the stated work-hour schedule.
- Availability for the initial two-week training schedule, Monday through Friday, approximately 35 hours per week.
- Own reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance.
- Proof of immunization records and TB screening.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift, carry, and load or unload toys and materials, and to walk, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and twist.
Responsibilities
