About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is hiring Group Leaders for its before- and after-school programs for the 2026/2027 school year at Bixby School and Steen School. The programs provide extended-day enrichment in a fun and safe environment, helping students learn and grow beyond the school day. Group Leaders lead students through daily curriculum activities and help create a supportive, inclusive space. The role offers hands-on training and experience working with children and collaborating with a team. Pay is $17.00 per hour, with hours from 7:00–8:30 a.m. and 2:30–6:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely.
Is flexible, reliable, and ready to help wherever needed.

Nice To Haves

Interest in or studies in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Recreation, or Youth Development.

Responsibilities

Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
Make child safety the top priority and follow procedures closely.
Keep the space clean and organized.
Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
