Before and After School Group Leader
About The Position
AlphaBEST Education is hiring Group Leaders for its before- and after-school programs for the 2026/2027 school year at Millburn Elementary Schools. The programs provide extended-day and enrichment activities designed to engage students in a fun, safe environment. Group Leaders lead students through daily curriculum activities and help create a supportive, inclusive experience while working with children, families, teammates, and school staff. The role offers hands-on experience and training, and may be a good fit for students studying education, child development, psychology, social work, recreation, or youth development. Pay is $17.00 per hour. Hours are 7:00–8:30 a.m. and 2:30–6:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
- Prioritize child safety and follow procedures.
- Keep the space clean and organized.
- Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
- Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
