About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Before and After School Care Supervisor performs instructional duties or provides direct services to students or parents. The role supports educational programs and services designed and implemented under the ultimate responsibility of a teacher or another professional. The supervisor assists with test administration and may provide specialized assistance for students with special needs. The position is part time, based on normal school hours, and is assigned to a campus.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms with all levels of management, both within and outside the district.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the district.
• Ability to organize special programs for the assigned campus.
• Ability to use a computer and district software and databases, spreadsheets, word-processing software, a calculator, a copy machine, and a telephone.
• Ability to analyze data.
• Ability to use effective interview techniques, public-speaking skills, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 48 college hours is preferred.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with students’ academic goals by working with small groups or individual children.
• Assist teachers in enforcing classroom management and behavioral plans to create an appropriate learning environment.
• Help supervise students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and programs.
• Assist teachers in preparing paperwork for the ARD/IEP process; collect and enter data for special education reports and documents.
• Assist teachers with planning, preparing, and implementing differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
