About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Before and After School Care Supervisor performs instructional duties and may provide direct services to students or parents. The role supports educational programs and services for which a teacher or another professional has ultimate responsibility for design and implementation. The supervisor assists with test administration and may provide specialized assistance to students with special needs. The position is part time and works normal school hours in a campus classroom setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms with all levels of management, both within and outside the district.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the district.
• Ability to organize special programs for the assigned campus.
• Ability to use computers and district software, databases, spreadsheets, word-processing software, calculators, copy machines, and telephones.
• Ability to analyze data.
• Ability to use effective interview techniques, public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 48 college hours is preferred.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with student academic goals by working with small groups or individual students.
• Assist teachers in enforcing classroom management and behavioral plans to create an appropriate learning environment.
• Help supervise students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and programs.
• Assist teachers with preparing paperwork for the ARD/IEP process and collect and enter data for special education reports and documents.
• Assist teachers with planning, preparing, and implementing differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
