Bed Control Coordinator I
About The Position
The Bed Control Coordinator I works under the supervision of the clinical care team to coordinate care as patients move into and through the care continuum. The position supports accurate and timely insurance verification and patient registration, timely payor notification to help ensure maximum reimbursement, benefit coverage for continuum-of-care needs, and information flow to continuum-care providers. The role also requires maintaining a high level of confidentiality. The position is part-time on the night shift at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. The listed compensation range is $23.72 to $33.12; the exact starting compensation is determined during hiring based on factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
Requirements
- Clinical and patient care experience.
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with physicians and ancillary departments.
- Detail orientation and a high degree of organizational skills.
- Experience working with computers and computer software or applications.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or higher.
- Previous insurance background.
- Previous experience in an acute care hospital.
