About The Position

The Beauty Stylist drives beauty sales across brands by using product demonstrations and artistry techniques to recommend products that suit each customer. The role is suited to someone who is passionate about beauty products, thrives in a commissioned sales environment, and provides attentive one-on-one customer service. The schedule and hours vary by week according to business needs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Beauty industry experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization and follow-through.
• A high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling, using available selling tools, including text and social media.
• Stay informed about industry trends and product knowledge.
• Start service consultations with open-ended questions to understand customers’ preferences and needs.
• Build lasting customer relationships by following up on purchases, suggesting products, and inviting customers to events.
• Grow sales through appointment-based selling, technology, and opening new Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
• Create in-store events and network in the community.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors across Beauty brands to identify key priorities and products.
