About The Position

CVS Health is seeking a sales-oriented Beauty Sales Consultant who is passionate about beauty and committed to delivering a high-quality customer experience. Serving as the primary beauty advisor in the store’s beauty zone, the consultant provides personalized service, shares product and trend knowledge, recommends products, and builds customer relationships and sales. The role includes educating customers about product use and benefits, participating in sales programs and events, maintaining beauty displays and a clean, well-stocked area, and following sanitation and hazardous-waste policies. The consultant completes onboarding and ongoing training, works toward sales goals, and maintains current knowledge of beauty products, brands, trends, and techniques. The position requires standing or moving throughout the store for most of the work time and may involve ear-piercing services.

Requirements

Sales-oriented.
Able to use sales data together with product and brand knowledge to meet sales and beauty service goals.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Goal-driven, with the ability to multitask.
Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and learn new procedures quickly.
Available to work a flexible retail schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak hours.
Able to perform the tasks described in the job posting.
Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to perform ear-piercing services in all stores; training and certification are provided.
At least 18 years old.
Must be able to stand and/or move throughout the store for most of the work time, stoop, kneel or crouch, reach or grasp objects, and perform manual-dexterity tasks such as ear piercing.

Nice To Haves

Prior beauty sales experience.
Current knowledge of beauty products and brands.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Bilingual English and Spanish capability is required for beauty advisors in specific CVS stores.

Responsibilities

Engage customers in the beauty zone and provide personalized sales service based on their needs.
Use effective upselling and suggestive selling, and follow up with customers to build lasting relationships.
Listen to customers, provide specialized sales advice, and use product knowledge to answer questions and increase sales.
Educate customers on product use and benefits, including through the CVS beauty monthly sampling program.
Represent company sales programs and events, discuss CVS Beauty Club programs, and explain promotions.
Create and maintain product displays, end caps, and beauty promotional materials.
Keep the assigned beauty area stocked, merchandised, clean, and compliant with hygiene standards.
Follow CVS policies for tester sanitation, hazardous-waste disposal, and tool cleansing.
Complete onboarding and ongoing training and keep sales, product knowledge, and selling skills current.
Meet the established sales budget, track progress, and work to exceed previous sales goals.
Participate in sales training meetings and conference calls about programs, promotions, products, goals, and customer care.
Maintain a professional appearance and stay informed about beauty trends and techniques.
Perform ear-piercing services in stores where required.
