About The Position

The Beauty Assistant/Store Manager represents the company’s brand, supports and develops sales teams, and works to increase sales, profits, and customer and employee satisfaction. The role is intended for an outgoing, energetic, positive leader who is motivated to set and achieve sales goals and is comfortable in a commission-driven environment. A comprehensive training program prepares individuals for a position on the management team. The position combines retail sales, customer service, staff leadership, store operations, and financial oversight.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience in a retail or customer service environment.
Ability to effectively influence others.
Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods, for 7 or more hours per day.
Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance.
Reliable transportation.
Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Recruit, select, and orient store employees.
Train, motivate, mentor, and provide feedback to sales staff, including coaching, counseling, and discipline, to meet sales goals and performance criteria.
Schedule and assign employees, follow up on work results, and meet company operational requirements.
Monitor controllable expenses, including labor, cost of sales, and other expenses, to achieve financial objectives.
Comply with legal requirements to maintain store stability and reputation.
Assign and manage tasks to ensure stores are clean, adequately stocked, organized, well-kept, and customer-ready.
Build rapport with customers to establish loyalty and long-term relationships.
Create a positive, motivating, team-based environment.
Investigate and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Analyze daily sales and expense information and conduct other financial analysis to maximize sales and net profits.
Safeguard and account for money received and handle banking requirements.
