About The Position

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a BDA Fire Alarm Technician to work out of their Wall, NJ location. This role involves testing and installing Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to enhance emergency responder radio coverage in buildings. The technician will integrate BDA systems with Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP), ensuring proper signaling and compliance. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting construction documents, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications, maintaining up-to-date records, and coordinating with general contractors, project managers, and inspectors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Industry experience preferred.
  • Individual must possess a valid Driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read blueprints, riser diagrams, and specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, Fire Alarm System Theory, OSHA Requirements, and Industry Standards for Fire Alarm systems installation.
  • Experience with a variety of system manufacturing including Gamewell-FCI, Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, Firelite, etc.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities
